What separates dreamers from doers is clarity — the kind of intention that turns vague hopes into vivid goals. That was the spirit behind this hike.
We didn't come here just to chase views or check off another destination. We came with purpose — carrying silent prayers, personal breakthroughs, and goals rooted in something deeper than wanderlust.
The trail wasn't easy. Challenges met us along the way — steep climbs, fatigue, doubts. But that's the nature of every great journey. The difference is, we chose to believe. And when you move with belief, the universe has a beautiful way of responding.
Everything about this place felt magical — not just because of the scenery, but because of the energy we brought with us. Each step forward was a declaration of something we want to achieve. Each shared meal, a reminder of community. Each quiet moment, a conversation with ourselves.
We arrived with goals. We left with memories that felt straight out of a dream.
✨ Here are some of the highlights from this unforgettable trip:

FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE
Nothing beats hearing it straight from those who lived it.
Here are the actual words from the ones who braved the journey, embraced the moments, and made memories that will last a lifetime:

The Wanderlust Diaries (Yohann Kenny)
"If I can associate my journey in lake Holon to an object, it would be a book. Each chapters are different and endless I would like to read even if white hairs already surrounds my hair."
"Sealing my hopes and promises. The kissing stone- as what famously it says- is one journey you should experience. Yes! I have made my oath too. Sana… Sana…"

Marky in Motion (Fernandez Marky)
I was just standing there like, “So this is what peace looks like. Char.” But real talk, naka-realize ko nga usahay, mas klaro pa ang view sa lake kaysa sa life decisions nako.
Sometimes, you just need that kind of moment kanang simple lang pero bug-at ug impact. Nature really has a way of saying, “Kalma lang, oy. Wa pa gani ka maabot sa tumoy.” read more

Wangsow (Rica)
"Lake Holon gave me a space to reconnect with myself in the simplest way. Not by doing anything, but by just being there. A reminder that peace isn’t something we chase, it’s something we allow.
I was HOLONIZED. I didn’t overthink, I didn’t rush. I was just there calm, present, and real." read more

Ante Kwee (Analyn Ricafort)
"Kaduha na ko naka balik sa Lake Holon, pero murag dili gyud mawala sa huna-huna ang lugar Murag kada tuig nani nga panata"
SIDE TRIP TO LAKE SEBU
Lake as the destination, lake as the sidetrip—yes, a back-to-back lake adventure! 🌊✨ Lake Sebu may seem like a calm, ordinary lake at first glance, but don’t be fooled. This place packs a punch of adrenaline! 💥
You get to zipline over the majestic Seven Falls—a thrilling ride with a view like no other. Towering waterfalls, lush greens, and pure awe in every second plus you can wear the T'Boli traditional clothing.

Located at the foot of Mount Apo, this sanctuary is not just a zoo but a conservation center working tirelessly to protect one of the rarest raptors in the world. The peaceful forest setting also makes it a serene nature escape.
People's Park
In the heart of downtown Davao, People's Park is a vibrant urban space filled with sculptures, fountains, and native flora. It’s a great place for morning jogs, quiet walks, or simply soaking in the local vibe. The giant durian dome entrance is an instant icon for visitors and locals alike.

D' Bone Collector Museum
One of the most unique museums in the Philippines, this private collection showcases hundreds of real animal skeletons from around the world. It’s educational, quirky, and surprisingly moving—especially the exhibits on conservation and environmental impact. A must-see for the curious-minded.

Explore the No-Wires Streets of Davao
What’s missing? The messy overhead electric wires! Davao's downtown core showcases clean and clutter-free streets thanks to their underground wiring system. It's a subtle yet impactful move that reflects the city’s discipline and commitment to urban order.
Japanese Tunnel
Built during World War II, this tunnel is a remnant of Japan’s occupation and gives visitors a chance to walk through a piece of history. The dimly lit underground path features historical artifacts and figures that recreate life during wartime. Short but fascinating!

A newly developed coastal highway that not only eases traffic but also offers beautiful sea views and dramatic sunsets. A favorite among cyclists and sunset chasers, this road is perfect for leisurely drives and photo stops.
Jack's Ridge
Perched on the hills of Matina, Jack's Ridge offers a panoramic view of Davao City—especially stunning at night. It’s a food haven too, with restaurants serving local favorites and fresh seafood. The site also carries WWII history, adding layers of meaning to your visit.
Crocodile Park
An interactive wildlife park showcasing crocodiles in all sizes—from hatchlings to giants! Beyond reptiles, the park is also home to tigers, birds, and snakes. Educational shows and feeding sessions make it a hit for families and animal lovers.
Lomi at Kusina Dabaw
Don’t leave without trying Davao’s comforting version of Lomi—a thick, savory noodle dish perfect for rainy afternoons. Kusina Dabaw serves it steaming hot with rich toppings, offering both warmth and nostalgia in every bowl.
