Mount Matunog isn’t just the highest mountain in Bohol—it’s a two-hour forest hike alive with birdsong, rich biodiversity, and the thrill of that last steep push before the summit. At the top, the island unfolds beneath you, and you’ll understand why this peak holds a special place in my heart.
From here, we follow the call of water—two gems of my beloved hometown, Dimiao:

💧 Dam-agan Falls – a steady, graceful cascade with a calm pool perfect for cooling off and soaking in the chill forest vibe.

💦 Ipo Falls – deep, daring, and irresistible for those who crave high-jump adventures into its cool, clear basin.
Dimiao is more than just a place—it’s where nature, adventure, and community come together. Through this hike, I hope more people will see its beauty, feel its warmth, and carry its stories.
P.S. Two small requests:
📸 Capture your moments at the summit and at both waterfalls.
📝 Once back online, share your realizations, lessons, or funniest memories—with your photos. Tag me @nomadengr, and I’ll feature some in the official blog.
This isn’t just a dayhike—it’s a journey from Bohol’s crown to the refreshing heart of my hometown.
